On Tuesday, actor Kelsey Grammer refused to back down his support for President Donald Trump during an interview on PBS’s Christine Amanpour and Company.
The host tried to make Grammer rethink his support for the Commander-in-chief, even to the point of sounding smug and dismissive but the interview below showed a strong patriot with a strong spine. As for Amanpour, she is not a journalist, she is nothing more than a leftist hack who runs around shooting her mouth off. The fact that she is on PBS, should be a sign that no one pays much attention to her anymore.
Here is the transcript from the interview via Newsbusters:
AMANPOUR: I was wondering whether you thought the sort of, many people believe this sort of fabric is being disrupted.
GRAMMER: Well I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing.
AMANPOUR: You do?
GRAMMER: Oh yeah. I don’t think Washington didn’t do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they’ve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people.
AMANPOUR: It’s politics.
GRAMMER: And I don’t think they’ve been helping anybody but themselves.
AMANPOUR: What about people? Do you wonder, I mean here with Brexit, how can people sort of get back together again?
GRAMMER: I think the English people should be just fine because you know they’ve been through a lot worse.
AMANPOUR: And the American people?
GRAMMER: And the American people will be just fine, too. We’ve been through a lot worse.
Good for him! He refused to take her ludicrous bait and answered calmly, succinctly and intelligently. Way to go Kelsey!
Thoughtful, intelligent and well-spoken comments. Somewhat shocking for that to come out of Hollywood.
Kelsey is right. You may not like Trump on Twitter or his outspoken manner, but he is directing this country to policy and economic improvements. We just need deals to be completed that are fair and balanced for our country, instead of this government always giving in. We also need better security too, which this President is fighting for all the Americans.
We watch Congress, on both sides, refusing to work with Trump, like no other leader we have ever had and it’s shameful. Kelsey was on point with his interview and reaffirmed my support for him politically as well as being a patriot.
Grammer has an inner toughness that I like. He has had his share of misery. But he is a fighter and speaks his mind. I like this guy. I enjoy his acting and I love his politics. He is very conservative and does not say much about politics only here and there but he is right President Trump is not a politician. He has proven time and time again that it is not his interests but what is good for the American People and this country that he is all about.
