Gary Oldman Slams Hollywood Political Correctness; Calls out Pelosi, Defends Mel Gibson

Hooray!!! Let me say this first and foremost…We need more people like Gary Oldman in America to speak the truth instead of the usual BS and tell it ‘like it is,’ as they said back in the day.

In an interview with Playboy magazine, Actor Gary Oldman seems to have finally had enough with the double-standard of Hollywood and the backwards way of how they handle free speech.

“I don’t know about Mel. He got drunk and said a few things, but we’ve all said those things,” the 56-year-old actor told the men’s magazine in the July/August issue that hits stands Friday. “We’re all f—–g hypocrites. That’s what I think about it. The policeman who arrested him has never used the word n—-r or that fucking J–? I’m being brutally honest here. It’s the hypocrisy of it that drives me crazy.”

Oldman went on to say the following:

“Well, if I called Nancy Pelosi a cunt—and I’ll go one better, a fucking useless cunt—I can’t really say that. But Bill Maher and Jon Stewart can, and nobody’s going to stop them from working because of it. Bill Maher could call someone a fag and get away with it. He said to Seth MacFarlane this year, ‘I thought you were going to do the Oscars again. Instead they got a lesbian.’ He can say something like that. Is that more or less offensive than Alec Baldwin saying to someone in the street, ‘You fag’? I don’t get it.”

Political correctness made Americans pansies… Who is responsible? Who benefits?

He also found it ridiculous that the culture in Hollywood last Oscar season was “if you didn’t vote for 12 Years a Slave you were a racist.”

Personally, I applaud his candor. It takes courage to stand up and speak honestly. And he’s right. Originally, political correctness was a way of transforming speech from negative to positive. But, like anything else, people went overboard and took it too far to where it actually prevented free speech, or even honest speech. Kudos to Gary Oldman for having the courage to tell it like it is!!
