Former GOP’er Slams Trump Supporters — ‘35% of This Country Has Checked Out’ and ‘Joined a Cult’

Steve Schmidt is a former Republican who worked for Sen. John McCain that join Democrats and now trying to cause problems.

Schmidt went on Bill Maher’s HBO television program to deliver some more hate toward Trump supporters because they won’t succumb to liberals train of thought of leaving the Commander-in-chief.

Can you see the craziness in this guy? I’ve seen the elitist globalist mentality of people like Schmidt applied to the evaluation of our movement. Just a few months ago, I heard a NeverTrump Republican say that he is leaving the Republican Party and he’ll return when the party rids itself from Trump.

We’re seeing somebody go to mass rallies, constantly lie to incite fervor in a cult of personality base, we are seeing him make victimization honorable- they’re all victims, right? We are seeing the allegation of conspiracy, the ‘Deep State,’ hidden, nefarious movements that only the leader can see.

We see the scapegoating of minority populations, vulnerable populations, and lastly, the assertion that ‘I need to exercise these powers that no president has ever claimed to have,’” Schmidt told the Real Time panel. “This is deliberate.

This is an assault on objective truth. And once you get people to surrender their sovereignty, what is true is what the leader says is true, what is true is what the leader believes is true, even though what’s true is staring you in the face. when that happens, you are no longer living in a democratic republic. 35% of this country has checked out. They have joined a cult.

They are obedient. They are obedient to the leader.

He thinks if Trump is removed from the party, after a few months Trump supporters will forget about the America-first nationalist movement and the movement will die. And then those who supported Trump will go back to supporting establishment Republicans like him. A very simple formula he said. That’s how absurd the thinking is of these globalist elitists.

They still don’t recognize that our movement is not about a cult of personality with Trump. Our movement can’t be disbanded by getting rid of Trump. Instead, we are only merely further solidified by every pressure to do so. Our movement is held together by something that cannot be destroyed, something that cannot die.

Before the political parties were born there were an American people; and after the parties have passed away, the people will remain. Our movement is a living expression of the American people, and therefore, a symbol of eternity!
