What type of Muslim would this pizza owner be classified?
We keep hearing time and time again how are our moderate Muslims out there in the radical ones are few and far between. What are side, or what our American citizens did not realize or understand, all Muslims read from the same Koran, and some of them take it to heart while others have the word of the Koran in their hearts.
This business owner was recruiting for ISIS in his pizza shop; nobody would ever since suspected it if someone did not come forward and tell authorities.
Mufid Elfgeeh is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday afternoon. Elfgeeh was arrested in 2014 and later admitted to recruiting and raising money for the terrorist group.
A sentencing memorandum says Elfgeeh gave explicit information to federal prosecutors and the FBI of what he did to support ISIS. The paperwork also says that he has since renounced his allegiance to the terrorist group.
At one point Elfgeeh had three Twitter accounts, 23 Facebook accounts and used social media to raise money for ISIS. He was also trying to recruit at least two men to join the terrorist group and go to Syria. Elfgeeh didn’t know that the men were cooperating with the FBI.
Before he was arrested, officials say he was arranging to buy weapons.
Elfgeeh came to the U.S. from Yemen when he was 15-years-old and later became a citizen. He owned Mojoe’s Chicken and Pizza on North Clinton Avenue.
By admitting his guilt and agreeing to a plea deal, Elfgeeh faces up to 22 and a half years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Do I believe that all Muslims are radical, the answer is no. Do I think we should have a system in place that is better equipped to find the radicals, my response is yes!
