DUPREE: CNN Donna Brazile before Grand Jury Decision; “Brown was Shot and Murdered”

CNN Contributor Donna Brazile said she was “baffled” by the 9 p.m. ET announcement of the grand jury decision, questioning why officials wouldn’t make the announcement in the morning. Then she claimed Brown was “shot and murdered.”

Words have meanings. Allowing the media to use words that indicate one’s innocence or guilt is a VERY slippery slope. There is no innocence or guilt, unless proven by law.

Officer Wilson has the law on his side. His life has been destroyed at the hands of a thug, who died. However, it seems that people are very willing to fall into the media’s portrayal of the victim, and the media’s own version of the truth.

It is so very sad that Officer Wilson is not afforded the same respect. He did what he needed to do to save his own life, but Officer Wilson will never have the same rights afforded to the deceased.

As this was delivered on a Television program accessible nationwide, the commentator and the network appear to be in jeopardy of committing libel towards Officer Wilson. (I know, their actual viewership is somewhere around just the number of CNN employees and their families and a few friends, but the program was accessible!)

I hope that Officer Wilson instructs his attorneys to go after them for the maximum dollar amount singly and severally (so that Ms. Brazile has to negotiate her own deal or face a court case even if CNN settles apart!). It would be perfect for this network to have to pay out millions for letting idiots without speech governors on the air.

Shame on our media! Shame on our nation!
