POTUS Declares — “Our Area Is Full. The Sector Is Full. Can’t Take You Anymore”

One of the most frustrating things about illegal immigration is how easily the problem could be solved if the American government were serious about it.

A good border wall, electronic measures, e-verify, quick deportation, tightening up of the notion of “refugee,” and supplement here and there with the Coast Guard and extra funds to Border Patrol.

We could solve this problem in less than a year and then refocus immigration on improving America by bringing in only people who can contribute by being smart, hard-working, or at least having an ability to invest existing fortunes into our economy.

On Friday, President Trump told the world, we can’t take anyone else. With the thousands being rounded up daily, overworking our border patrol.

Donald Trump had a unwelcoming message to those seeking political asylum in the United States: Don’t bother.

“Our country is full,” Trump said at an event in Calexico, Calif., to promote construction of a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico. “Our area is full. The sector is full. Can’t take you anymore, I’m sorry. Can’t happen. So turn around, that’s the way it is.”

Trump described his remarks as “our new statement,” and said it applied to asylum seekers as well as immigrants crossing the border illegally.

“If you look at our southern border, the number of people and the amount of drugs, human trafficking — the human trafficking is something that nobody used to talk about, I talk about it. It’s a terrible thing. It’s ancient and it’s never been bigger than it is modern, right now, today. All over the world, by the way, not just here. All over the world, human trafficking, a terrible thing.” [Yahoo News]

Is he wrong? We have homeless people spilling over into our major cities and millions of people on the welfare rolls. Do we need to invite in millions of more unskilled workers, some with unknown criminal histories, to come to the US and pile onto the welfare rolls that are already overburdened? Liberals put feelings before reality and facts.

It’s about time we had a politician say to the world our southern border is closed. Hopefully, that message will make it to South America and these endless caravans will become a thing of the past.

It’s time to wake up and realize we need to take care of the people we DO have before we invite in millions more.
