James Devine isn’t part of Democratic Leadership but his angry, violent DNA is part of the party’s history of acting out rather than finding solutions utilizing common sense.
Again, you will not see Republicans talk about “hunting Democrats,” or “killing Democrats,” because we show our disgruntled feelings in other ways. Democrats go to violence in 1.2 seconds because they are savages, in my humble opinion.
Devine tweeted this out and doubled-down on it during an interview on NJ.com. He has worked on local and presidential campaigns.
We are in a war with selfish, foolish & narcissistic rich people. Why is it a shock when things turn violent? #HuntRepublicanCongressmen
— James Devine (@James_J_Devine) June 14, 2017
“I’m not advocating violence, but I’m saying I understand it,” Devine said in a phone interview. “I can recognize why it’s happened, because this is the predictable and preventable outcome of 40 years of increasingly vitriolic, violent, corrupt and corporate-controlled rhetoric. This is the chickens coming home to roost.”
By the way, when you tweet “hunt Republican Congressman,” that is advocating violence. What happens when these cowards get interviewed and hear what they wrote, they backtrack. But the more this snowflake kept talking, the more idiotic he sounded.
When asked if he would apologize for or if he regrets using the inflammatory hashtag, Devine replied, “I really apologize to any Republican snowflakes out there wringing their hands on Fox News because I hurt their feelings. That’s the apology. ‘I don’t have time for political correctness’ is the President’s mantra, so don’t ask me to play by different rules. I’m not going to unilaterally disarm myself in the face of maniacs.”
He also said President Trump’s rhetoric — and his offer to pay legal bills of those who assault his critics — shows the President has incited people to violence.
“Typically I don’t throw fire when fire is thrown at me, I throw water,” Devine said. “But when normal people try to have a rational political discourse, they are silenced. Hence, when it becomes necessary to fight fire with fire, I’ll do that.”
Devine went on in the article to blame Republicans, Rand Paul and others which allowed him to leave the elephant in the room — the tweet to incite violence against Republicans.
Democrats, including Devine, never throw water on anything. They stoke the flames of emotion not considering the end result. Anyone that uses social media to promote harm against another human being or a group of them should be banned from every using the internet ever again.
