Sen. Ted Cruz went into the insane asylum at CNN on Sunday morning’s “State of the Union,” hosted by Dana Bash, to discuss the Robert Mueller report.
Even though we know nothing about the inside of the report, Cruz brought up one very valid point: this report delivered by Robert Mueller isn’t the end of the Democrats’ agenda to dismantle Trump’s administration. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Cruz said the Dems would impeach President Trump for being Donald Trump.
For the last couple of years, America has watched the Democrats along with the opposition media try to tear down President Trump along with his family, friends, staff, cabinet, and associates.
Mueller’s Russian collusion investigation report was supposed to confirm their suspicions how the Trump campaign had to have colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 elections. The fact is, we, the American people along with lawmakers, don’t even know what’s in the report yet and Democrats have already vowed to investigate the matter further because they say they “know” collusion transpired.
“If anyone thinks that the Mueller report being concluded is the end of the Democrats’ attempt to take down President Trump, they haven’t been paying attention the last two years,”
“Yesterday, the Mueller report was going to be the end all and be all. It was going to be the salvation for the Democrats and destroy President Trump. Now, you can already see the Democrats pivoting away and saying, ‘Okay, we need to do other investigations. There’s gotta be someone else. There’s gotta be the Southern District of New York. It’s gotta be the New York Attorney General. It’s gotta be Congress.'”
“….My point is, you ask Congressman Nadler whether the House is going to impeach the president and I’ll answer that for you. Yes. They fully intend to impeach the president and they don’t care about the basis. Twice Congressman Nadler said something remarkable. He said, ‘Listen, the special counsel’s focused on crimes. We’re not all that concerned with crimes. Our focus is – this is Democrats in the House – is much broader than crimes.’ What they’re basically saying is they’re going to impeach the president for being Donald Trump and they don’t care about the evidence, they don’t care about the substance.”
“My point is the extreme left of the Democratic Party, they have so much anger and hatred directed at the president that we’re going to see the Democrats move forward with impeachment, whatever the evidence, that’s why you’re seeing Democrats like Congressman Nadler say, ‘Don’t worry about crimes. Our focus is not on crimes. That’s Bob Mueller’s focus. Our focus is broader.’ What their focus is is politics.”
The Left will continue to pound Trump from every angle. But, there is one thing for sure; if once released the Mueller report is found to exonerate Trump – so to speak – then Trump will be able to use that report and its findings as a very effective and useful political tool in the upcoming 2020 Presidential campaign. He can rightly point out that after being investigated for over two years by a team of highly trained people that they found no wrongdoing on his part. That’s an excellent campaign tool to have in one’s pouch.
Furthermore, he can also use the Mueller report to cast any future investigation into his activities, life, etc., as being nothing more than a political vendetta by The Left, which of course it probably is, i.e., the New York AG investigation and the other investigations being cast by the Democrat Party in D.C. And, frankly Trump will have a point; again, after two years of investigation by a multitude of highly trained attorneys and investigators who ultimately found no wrongdoing on his part – any further inquiries are political attacks.
If this Mueller report finds no wrongdoing on the part of Trump, then the Dems who demanded the investigation, to begin with, have handed Trump the keys to the White House, once again, for 2020.
