Phil Mudd is a former FBI official that doesn’t like Pres. Trump.
Mudd joined CNN hosts to speak on Christine Ford and how Congress was trying to force the FBI to open yet another investigation into Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
When Alisyn Camerota introduced Mudd, she just knew he was going to support CNN’s idea that the FBI is supposed to be directed by politicians.
I know this was hard to listen to because of hate for Trump but if you shove that aside, he was speaking passionately about not wanting lawmaker controlling the FBI or it could get dire. I agree with Mudd’s analysis.
“Be careful of politicians to say who should or should not investigate,” he said, adding ” We have politicians once again saying we want to use our department of justice, Democrats have one view and Republicans have another to re-open an investigation that we initiate. I know this is a sensitive case but I would be cautious about allowing politicians to direct the department of justice and the FBI about what to investigate and what not. I don’t want politicians telling the FBI what to do.”
Republicans have offered Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford many opportunities to be interviewed, in public, behind closed doors, they even offered to fly someone to her to conduct the interview, and she’s turned all of it down, so you tell me what’s going on.
The FBI falls under the Department of Justice and also reports to the Director of National Intelligence. Congress can’t force them to do anything, and if someone doesn’t correct that narrative quickly, as Phil did in this segment, many Americans will not understand the real truth.
