As the G20 is starting to close, President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met, and it seems the meeting went well.
Trade deals and tariffs were on the table, and President Trump has not been one to shy away from making whatever deals necessary to look out for America first. We’ve heard that Xi Jinping wasn’t happy with Trump raising tariffs as he responded the same way.
This is the reason that President Trump has been successful in business. He is tireless and works hard for what he wants. Having a businessman President is positive for the country.
Based on information I received, talks between Xi and Trump went well and consensus was reached.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held high-stakes trade talks on Saturday but ended their summit without any immediate word on whether they made progress toward defusing a damaging tariffs war between Washington and Beijing.
Trump told Xi at the start of the meeting he hoped they would achieve “something great” on trade for both countries. The leaders finished their talks after about 2-1/2 hours, with Trump heading to the airport for his scheduled Saturday night departure for Washington. Neither side issued any early statements on the outcome.
Their closely watched encounter came shortly after the Group of 20 industrialized nations backed an overhaul of the global body that regulates international trade disputes, marking a victory for Trump, a sharp critic of the organization.
Trump struck a positive note as he sat across from Xi, despite the U.S. president’s earlier threats to impose new tariffs on Chinese imports.
Don’t get me wrong. The problem with China is a large one and has been escalating for years under establishment presidents who chose not to tackle the problems. China still does not admit to stealing intellectual property–when the evidence is overwhelming.
We all have to remember that Communist China is not a friend to the US–get that straight! There has been an economic war with the US for decades, but only under Trump did the US finally take notice. So any trade agreement is only a partial solution in a very long process.
Trump’s life experiences have helped him tremendously as President of the United States. He has been the most influential and dynamic person in the world today. He is one excellent negotiator.
