The Road to Serfdom is an important book written by Friedrich von Hayek, an Australian philosopher and economist who wrote about the dangers of central planning by the government and the inevitable tyranny that results from centralized control of an economy. He makes the case for individualism and capitalism while challenging many of the leftist arguments we hear today about both. The book isn’t very long (less than 250 page) and I strongly encourage you to read it. But if you want a teaser that shows some of the concepts discussed in the book, I highly recommend checking out this short video.
