BREAKING: Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi Released from Mexican Jail

According to Fox News, Family spokesman Jonathan Franks confirmed a judge released Tahmooressi from a Tijuana jail today after a court appointed psychiatrist confirmed the veteran suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The family issued the following statement:  “it is with an overwhelming and humbling feeling of relief that we confirm that Andrew was released today after spending 214 days in a Mexican jail.

In March Tahmooressi, a Florida native, was lost on a California freeway and mistakenly crossed the Mexican border while in possession of three firearms.  Although Tahmooressi reported the firearms to authorities immediately, Mexico restricts the use of firearms to the Army and considers possession of same a Federal crime.
