Trump supporters took to Twitter to rejoice and thank God after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) finally announced that the first mile of brand spanking new border wall was under construction.
While it is true that President Trump has been hard at work replacing dilapidated and shoddy old wall with brand new 30-foot wall, there is something especially satisfying about seeing a brand new wall go up where no wall previously existed. It’s been a long time coming, but as a wise man once said, better late than never.
Fox News has the exclusive:
Construction on a new border wall in Texas where none previously existed has begun along the Rio Grande river, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed to Fox News on Friday.
While 75 miles of wall has already been built under the Trump administration, until now all of those structures replaced existing ones such as vehicle barriers or dilapidated fences, which were ineffective before being replaced, according to the agency.
The brand-new wall is under construction southeast of McAllen in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley sector, which sees the most illegal crossings of any border sector, with more than 325,000 people apprehended there through August this year, according to CBP. [Fox News]
Jubilant Trump supporters took to Twitter to thank God for the brand new wall, praise President Trump, and laugh at the fake news media who said there would never be a wall. “It’s refreshing to have a president who actually keeps his promises,” declared Barbara Espinosa.
Building a WALL along our border was a promise @realDonaldTrump made to the American people. It’s refreshing to have a president who actually keeps his promises! #BuildTheWall https://t.co/SF7Le86x1a https://t.co/LBN8naVtSk

Not only is brand new wall going up, but the Fake News media has been forced to acknowledge that Mexico has already built a wall of sorts, and they are paying for it! Mexico has sent 15,000 National Guard troops to secure the border, and illegal immigration has already plummeted.
Mexico, they argue, actually built US President Donald Trump’s border wall after all — not with concrete or bricks or steel, but with thousands of federal forces like this camouflage-clad commander and the troops following his orders.
And Mexico, they argue, is paying for it.
Yes, US taxpayers have been footing the bill for efforts to build new physical barriers at the US-Mexico border.
But experts note that Mexico’s massive deployment of National Guard troops over the past few months has played a major role in blocking migrants from reaching the US border in the first place. It’s a point Trump himself has made at several recent events — a dramatic change in tone from his sharp criticisms of Mexico earlier this year.
“I would like to thank President López Obrador of Mexico for the great cooperation we are receiving, and for right now putting 27,000 troops on our southern border,” Trump told the United Nations General Assembly last month. “Mexico is showing us great respect, and I respect them in return.”
A few days later, Trump told reporters he was “using Mexico to protect our border” because Democrats weren’t doing enough to fix the immigration system. [Fox 43 News]
Thank God for President Trump!
