Sanders Believes Felons Behind Bars Should Be Able To Vote In Elections

On Saturday, Sen. Bernie Sanders, current 2020 Democratic candidate, visited Iowa and sprung a new idea on his audience — allow convicted felons to vote from behind bars.

Sanders home state allows felons to vote while in prison, which explains so much that he’s been able to stay in office all of these years. At that Iowa Town hall meeting, he was asked a question whether or not it would be implemented nationwide

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) this weekend reportedly called for more states to join Vermont and Maine in allowing imprisoned felons to vote.

“I think that is absolutely the direction we should go,” Sanders said at a town hall in Muscatine, Iowa, when asked if more states should extend the vote to felons currently behind bars, according to the Des Moines Register.

“In my state, what we do is separate. You’re paying a price, you committed a crime, you’re in jail. That’s bad,” he said. “But you’re still living in American society and you have a right to vote.

“I believe in that, yes, I do.” [The Hill]

Bernie is like the ineffective parent who never gives consequences to the misbehaving, irresponsible child.

Losing your voting privilege is part of the sentence when you commit a felony.

There would be a 0% chance that Sanders or any other leftist would be advocating for this if they didn’t think that the vast majority of felons would vote democrat. They aren’t doing it because they believe it’s the right thing to do or that it’s a good thing to do. They are doing it because it buys them votes.

It also shows just how depraved leftist policies are. People who make multiple, seriously bad decisions and end up in jail also favor leftist policies. What does that say about how bad your policies are?

I only want informed voters to vote. People who do not pay any attention to what is going on politically and vote based on name recognition and party affiliation should not vote.

It should take some effort to vote by going to the polls. If you are not willing to take the time to go physically to the polling place, you probably did take the time to research the candidate’s true positions on the important issues.
