I am not sure this Benedict College was looking for this type of answer during the Presidential Justice Forum, but that’s what Sen. Bernie Sanders gave him at a Q&A.
A student asked Bernie, “If I’m your son, what advice would you give me next time I’m pulled over by a police officer?”
Bernie claimed he didn’t hear the question, and after a couple of attempts, the 2020 presidential candidate said, “Next time you pulled over by a police officer? I would do my best to identify who that police officer is. In a polite way, ask him or her for their name,” Bernie said.
“I would respect what they are doing so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head, but I would also be very mindful of the fact that as a nation, we have got to hold police officers accountable for the actions that they commit,” the candidate added.
.@BernieSanders to black student on how to handle getting pulled over by the police: “Identify who the police officer is – respect what they are doing so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head.”

If I were a law enforcement officer in the United States, I would be angry at Sanders’ answer. This is just crazy. He’s telling people that the police would ‘shoot you in the back of the head’ – execution-style. They are not the Sinaloa Cartel or the Mafia.
It’s sad that, in Bernie’s deranged world, police are little more than a racist execution squad going around shooting citizens in the head for racially prejudiced reasons. Who are the sickos out there that support this guy?
This is what Democrats do. They say stupid and slanderous things like this to keep black/brown folks in constant fear of white people. It’s not just the police we need to hold accountable. What about the store clerk that shot an armed robber? He was trying to rob them. They didn’t have a right to defend themselves while at work. Only because he has a gun pointed at you doesn’t mean he is going to shoot you.
I have called out many leftists on this hypocrisy. It always ends with their impression of a mute. The dirty little secret about government controlling everything is that the person you think should be in charge, won’t be forever. So, the lesson to be learned is to ensure that no government, no matter who is in office, has too much power over you.
