New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor says that he is going to throw his hat in the ring against Pres. Trump in 2020.
I used to be friends with Thor on social media, but he unfollowed me because of my support for Pres. Trump. I didn’t hold it against him for his decision to unfollow me because it didn’t break my sleep pattern and it didn’t keep me up every night.
Thor claims to be a conservative challenger to Pres. Trump and will campaign on the old template. What most people do not realize is when the Democrats elected Barack Obama they changed the game. Democrats elected someone on style and no substance and in all of that eight years of failure produced a non-politician in Donald Trump.

New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor took to Twitter on Saturday to say he’ll challenge President Donald Trump in the Republican primary for the 2020 presidential election.
“The era of know-nothing, insult-comedy politics is over,” Thor wrote. Thor earlier tweeted that he would run if no conservative candidate stepped up to challenge the president. A few minutes later he wrote “in fact, let’s make it official. I’m in.”
Thor is from Chicago (his mom grew up in Park Forest, and his dad was raised in the city) but moved to Nashville four years ago. Thor said he was sick and tired of high taxes, Illinois’ pension liabilities and political dysfunction. WGN News interviewed Thor on Thursday in Nashville for an upcoming story about people who have chosen to leave Illinois for states with lower taxes and better economic conditions.
As I said, Thor used to follow me on Twitter. In the best of times:
And the worst of times. I guess he unfollowed me on Twitter after this:
I don’t mess with that 4chan stuff anymore but for a person to decide to unfollow you for such a small meaningless tweet tells you exactly what you need to know about the man.
When I joined the conservative movement back in 2007 I looked at the people that were in charge, and I look at the tea party leaders, and I thought we had something. It took me a couple of years, but then I realize that it wasn’t anything but a bunch of cliques and members-only groups.
These ‘conservatives’ attended a bunch of conferences with the same speakers, same message and spoke to an echo chamber producing no real-time message for hurting Americans. From my perspective, they didn’t speak with the inclusive time. I have a whole lot to say about this, but I’m going to wait until election time.
