Artwork Hating Police Officers Removed Again From Congress Walls

Democrats wanted to provoke Republicans into a major fight over a painting offered by a resident of Ferguson, MO depicting law enforcement as pigs.

These so-called responsible leaders hung the portrait in the halls of Congress. Rep. Duncan Hunter removed it which prompted members of the Congressional Black Caucus to hang it back up and dare anyone to remove it.

Well, it’s gone again, and this time it was voted to be taken down.

From Western Journalism:

The Commission’s decision upheld an earlier vote by the Capitol Architect to remove the painting, which was produced by a student from Ferguson, Mo.

The artwork was brought to D.C. by Ferguson Rep. Lacy Clay, D-Mo., on Jan. 10 and subsequently drew sharp criticism among House Republicans who found the painting highly disrespectful.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., personally removed the painting, only to have it replaced by Rep. Clay in a persistent back-and-forth between members of the House.

In response, Clay attempted to file theft charges against Hunter. However, the Capitol police declined to press charges.

The matter was finally resolved after the three-member board, comprised of Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., voted in favor of removal.

Although Democrats allege the issue came down to a matter of Constitutional free speech, Republican lawmakers cited Congressional Art Competition rules which prohibit art “depicting subjects of contemporary political controversy or a sensationalist or gruesome nature.”

Both the Capitol Architect as well as the House Office Building Commission found the artwork depicted “subjects of contemporary political controversy,” and therefore required removal.

The Democratic Party are adolescent to the maximum power. They continue to be disrespectful to the police who have lost their lives and their families. All the way throughout the election process, America has watched this party implode with their practices, and it’s all their doing.

I am glad it’s down and won’t be going back up. What are your feelings about the painting and how the Democrats are trying to impose their intolerant will? Share your opinions below.
