Pres. Trump gave a primetime speech on Tuesday night regarding the southern border crisis that has kept the government shut down since the beginning of Christmas.
Pres. Trump told the American people that placing a barrier, whether a concrete wall or a steel wall one between Mexico and the United States, is needed to protect this country from drug smugglers, criminals, child traffickers, and more. He also made the distinction with the Democrats who do not want to fund the changes to finish and upgrade what is already in place.
The opposition media including Fox News with Shep Smith and Chris Wallace had a field day fact-checking the President, but not many did the same to Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer.
But then, low and behold, the Associated Press of all news outlets called out the Democrats to blame Pres. Trump for the government shutdown, claiming it takes two entities to make that happen.
Now they did their damage on Trump throughout their article, but they didn’t let the Democrats off the hook, and you didn’t have the opposition media today speak about it so you know it means something if we can get it out and about.
After doing some fact checking on Trump’s statements about drugs coming across the border, the need for a wall and other items, the Associated Press set its sights on Democrat claims that the federal government shutdown is entirely Trump’s fault.
AP FACT CHECK: Democrats put the blame for the shutdown on Trump. But it takes two to tango. Trump's demand for $5.7 billion for his border wall is one reason for the budget impasse. The Democrats refusal to approve the money is another. https://t.co/9IWnqUgl2d

Here is the excerpt from their article calling out Democrats:
HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI: “The fact is: President Trump has chosen to hold hostage critical services for the health, safety and well-being of the American people and withhold the paychecks of 800,000 innocent workers across the nation – many of them veterans.” — response to Trump’s remarks.
SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER, Senate Democratic leader: “The president of the United States – having failed to get Mexico to pay for his ineffective, unnecessary border wall, and unable to convince the Congress or the American people to foot the bill – has shut down the government.” — response to Trump.
THE FACTS: That’s one way to look at it. But it takes two sides to shut down the government. Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion for his border wall is one reason for the budget impasse. The refusal of Democrats to approve the money is another.

That’s music to my ears and should put a pep in your step too. I don’t even think Fox News mentioned this, but you have a chance to share this everywhere.
If a Democrat was in office and wanted money for the southern border, you can best believe both Pelosi and Schumer would move mountains and oceans to get it done. They just do not want Trump to accomplish it because it would seal his 2020 reelection if he chooses to run.
