Ginsburg Schools AOC and Squashes Her Dream of Axing the Electoral College

The Democrats hate our Constitution and the rule of law. They also really, really hate the Electoral College, and would like nothing more than to wipe it off the face of the earth.

Recently anti-American “Squad” leader Alexandria Ocasio Cortez went so far as to call the Electoral College a “scam.”

AOC posted a video mocking the Electoral College on Twitter.

The unpopular socialist opened the video by saying, “all right everyone it’s been a minute. We’re coming to you live from the Electoral College.”

She went on to say, “many votes here, as you can see. Very efficient way to choose leadership of the country. I mean, I can’t think of any other way. Can you?”  Her attack was a clear dig against rural America, who Democrats also hate, and clearly believe should have no say in who is elected president of their country.

Ocasio-Cortez followed up her video trick by calling the Electoral College a ”scam” and declaring that because of “racial disparities in certain states, the Electoral College effectively weighs white voters over voters of color, as opposed to a “one person, one vote” system where all our votes are counted equally.”

Of course, it always comes back to race for Democrats in 2019. And what Ocasio-Cortez thinks she’s displaying is wit, intelligence and the kind of revolutionary spirit liberals often mistake for intelligence.

But what she’s actually showing is how deeply her party dislikes and distrusts Middle America. [Western Journal]

AOC went on to say that the Electoral College has a “racial injustice breakdown.” Whatever that hell that means.

However, AOC’s hopes of killing the EC were just squashed by her idol, and fellow radical feminist Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In her speech Monday, Ginsburg didn’t address those “severe racial disparities in certain states,” but noted that there wasn’t much of a chance that the Electoral College would be replaced.

“It’s largely a dream because our Constitution is … hard to amend,” Ginsburg told the audience, according to the Washington Examiner.

“I know that from experience.”

Not only could that be seen as a rebuke of Ocasio-Cortez’s call to abolish the Electoral College, it could also be seen as a word of warning to those behind the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, a legislative agreement in which states would give their electoral votes to the popular vote winner no matter who won the state. However, it’s not just AOC who is pushing to get rid of the Electoral College. Many of the Dems 2020 candidates are also seeking to end our tradition of fair elections.
