Many Trump supporters have their feelings about Judge Andrew Napolitano, but at this point, I would say he is politically dead to them now, and there might not be any coming back.
Napolitano is a contributor on that all but glorious fair and balanced network that wants a Democratic 2020 Presidential debate so badly.
Napolitano had to upload a video that rebukes the Commander-in-chief like I haven’t seen anyone do on Fox News before. Napolitano said that there might be enough evidence in the Mueller report to “prosecute” Trump.
“Depending on how you look at them, there might be enough to prosecute, but the attorney general has decided it’s not enough to prosecute, but it did show a venal, amoral, deceptive Donald Trump, instructing his aides to lie and willing to help them do so. That’s not good in the president of the United States.”
Napolitano said Trump “is not exactly cleared,” basing his statement on the numerous potential obstruction charges raised in the Mueller report.
Napolitano has been outspoken before, but this goes beyond the pale. Nap is a one-eighty from himself twenty years ago. I don’t recognize his position anymore.
How can anyone be guilty of something when the beginning of the investigation was based on false narratives? Why didn’t they warn Trump of possible Russian interference? Because they were trying to set him up!
“Substantial evidence to show the president was frustrated..” Is the evidence he refers to his tweets? And that is an excuse?
The problem with this argument is that you have to prove intent to obstruct. I read chunks of the report and what Napolitano is referring to is Trumps loose words towards his aides for ending the Mueller investigation. There’s no proof he wanted to end the investigation because of collusion.
It seemed like Trump was just angry over the investigation because it made him look bad. He was mad at his aides and advisers for not having faith that he was innocent. Most of the content in the Mueller report is about Trump commenting on the investigation. To me, it seems like Mueller was trying to trap Trump with obstruction.
Napolitano has never seen a prosecution or prosecutor he didn’t love. I’ll take Barr’s opinion over his because Barr happens to be the AG and Napolitano is a pundit who hasn’t ruled on a case in a very long time. Judge Judy has more credibility and makes a lot more money. Maybe Fox should see about bringing her on board.
