Andrew Mitchell edits Mitt Romney’s Speech to Claim he’s out of Touch

A selectively edited clip of Mitt Romney talking about WaWa stores in Pennsylvania aired on “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on Monday. Andrea Mitchell is the wife of former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan.

As Politico reported, Romney was actually making a comparison between the private and public sectors.

“I was at WaWas, I went in to order a sandwich,” Romney said. “You press a little touchtone keypad — you touch this, touch this, go pay the cashier — there’s your sandwich. It’s amazing. People in the private sector have learned how to compete. It’s time to bring some competition to the federal government.”
