Washington Examiner has more on the story.

A Secret Service spokesman told reporters that the man in custody approached a uniformed officer around 10:15 a.m. and made “suspicious comments” about a package he had. The man was immediately detained and an explosives team was sent to investigate the package.

These scary incidents at the White House have been occurring over the past month.

On March 18, Secret Service detained a man who claimed to have a car bomb at a White House checkpoint. President Trump was at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida during that time.

The 26-year-old California man Jonathan Tran was in custody for jumping the White House fence March 11.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of crazy people out there that hate the president. It sounds like Secret Service did an efficient job taking care of this scary incident.
