Guess who just came out of the shadows to speak to about the Jussie Smollett case — Rev. Al Sharpton.
Sharpton used his MSNBC program to gently call out the Empire television actor and the Nigerian brothers that participated in the alleged hoax reported by TMZ last month. But then he called out President Trump over his tweet that called the attack “horrible.”
Smollett claimed that he was a victim of a hate crime that included two attackers who put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him all while making a statement: “Welcome to MAGA country).
This past weekend, Chicago police revealed they released two suspects arrested in connection with the story and has removed the “victim” status of Smollett and gave him the “person of interest.” It also seems that Smollett engineered the attack as a hoax, including a “walk-through” a week earlier. The two attackers were two Nigerian brothers paid by the actor to stage the attack.
This is what you get for creating a special category called “hate crimes.” You were warned.
When this incident happened, Sharpton said the following: “we should come with all that we can come within law enforcement to find out what happened and the guilty should suffer the maximum.”
Now that the story appears to be changing every second of the day, Sharpton has slightly shifted to: “And if it is found that Smollett and these gentlemen did in some way perpetrate something that is not true, they ought to face accountability to the maximum.”
Remember, if President Trump hadn’t said anything, Sharpton and the rest of his minion would have been chomping at the bit to call him names and shame him for not caring. Now, the poverty pimp is using the Commander-in-chief to make a point about progressives who jumped the gun.
In the video below, Sharpton also took time to blame Trump:
MSNBC already has enough problems when it comes to credibility. Why would they dig themselves into a deeper hole by employing Sharpton?
As for Jussie, he has outlived his usefulness real quick. Now there is nothing left to do but crucify him. He won’t be physically lynched, but socially he is already dead. Like every good conman, Sharpton knows when to switch sides. He will lead the electronic lynch mob, henceforth.
