Rep. Adam Schiff -We’re Going To Look At The Work That The GOP Obstructed On Our Committee

The derangement over the 2016 election, more than the corruption, is going to cost the Democrats more than we know.

There’s a strong possibility Rep. Adam Schiff will bring back individuals who testified under Republican House leadership for the Russian investigation such as Donald Trump Jr.

Believe it or not, the inmates are now running the asylum. They are not for keeping America great, but for stopping the progress, the Republicans have made. Their sole purpose will be obstruction and destruction.

You might think I am going crazy but I hope Schiff follows through on this now that the Democrats have control because I’m pretty sure that there’s nothing more important to America than the resolution of this phony narrative and the lies to the FISA judges who made it possible. Nothing. Not the economy, or security, or borders and immigration. Not the treasonous media. So if you want to keep chasing that rabbit, go for it.

In 2020, we’ll see Pres. Trump re-elected, along with 60-plus Senate seats and 300 seats in the House. The jig is up. We know Russia is a lie. We know the media are lying for you. We know you want open borders, suppression of opposition speech, and control of guns.

He vowed to go after Trump’s personal business interests: ““The president has sought to keep that off limits, but if that’s the leverage Russians pose that’s a real threat to our country,” Schiff said, as quoted by the Times.

Appearing on MSNBC, Schiff signaled that the committee plans to increase its activity level in the area of presidential oversight.

“We also intend to make sure that the oversight role that the Republicans so completely abdicated, the Congress once again undertakes and does so responsibly,” Schiff said.

Schiff blasted Republicans and President Donald Trump for their attacks on the FBI and said the intelligence committee has some fences to mend.

“We’re going to look at the work that the GOP obstructed on our committee,” Schiff said. “And it was really worse than abdicating the responsibility of the committee. The majority went further — to be complicit in the president’s attacks on the independence of the Justice Department, on the men and women of the FBI, on our intelligence community. So we also need to restore the relationship between our committee and the intelligence community and law enforcement.”

Schiff hopes that the wins Democrats gained in the house will help Special Counsel Robert Mueller continue his investigation against President Trump:

“I think the chances that Bob Mueller will be able to finish his work improved for the reason that our committee and others like the Government Reform Committee and the Judiciary Committee, which under Republican leadership served as basically surrogates for the president in their efforts to batter down the Justice Department, to give the president a pretext to fire people in the Justice Department — all of that tearing down of the independence of these institutions is going to end.”

“Now that doesn’t mean that the president can’t still act in ways that are antithetical to the rule of law and the interest of justice. But it does mean that we’re better able to protect our institutions and see this investigation, I hope, complete.”
