CNN’s Jim Acosta had his White House press credential revoked week before last and late last week he had it reinstated by the court.
Acosta’s behavior against White House staff and the president has been confrontational and disrespectful on a consistent basis. He did not have his credential removed because he was asking questions on that one particular day, but it did add too many times his actions were not of those of a journalist covering the White House.
Think about it like this, Acosta REFUSED to give up the microphone after asking 3-4 questions during an impromptu press conference by Pres. Trump, so his other media buddies could ask their questions.
Americans who watched Acosta’s actions felt the White House was justified in suspending the press credential. However, CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News joined together, claiming that Acosta’s First Amendment and Fifth Amendment rights were being violated.
Even though Acosta got his press credential back, co-worker Brian Stelter reported White House has plans to revoke Acosta’s press credential at the end of the month or when the restraining order expires.
After CNN won a temporary restraining order on Friday, forcing the White House to restore his press pass for 14 days, White House officials sent Acosta a letter stating that his pass is set to be suspended again once the restraining order expires.
From the looks of the letter, the W.H. is trying to establish a paper trail that will empower the administration to boot Acosta again at the end of the month.
CNN responded with this statement on Sunday: “The White House is continuing to violate the First and 5th Amendments of the Constitution. These actions threaten all journalists and news organizations. Jim Acosta and CNN will continue to report the news about the White House and the President.”

According to CNN, the White House has already notified Jim Acosta in writing that his press credential will be yanked again, as soon as the judge's 14-day temporary restraining order has expired.

This wasn’t the first time Acosta or someone from CNN has been called out on disrespectful behavior against White House personnel, but this is the first time that the White House took disciplinary action.
