ABC Is Going To Try “The Connors” Show In Attempt To Replace “Roseanne”

I believed ABC was going to try to get it done but then again it’s a stupid idea.

Ever since most Americans found out that Hollywood was fake and the television shows were nothing more than money-making vehicles. the idea of watching nightly soap operas went by the wayside.

The execs are trying to catch lightning in a bottle by replacing the “Roseanne” television show with one called, “The Connors.” They plan on going through with this by removing all ties to Roseanne, physical or creative, which is a result of a tweet considered racist by many.

You’re not going to come close to 22 million people watching your show with a bunch of side-stepping, third level character actors (excluding John Goodman), even if you brought back Tom Arnold.

The 10-episode season will premiere this fall, in the same Tuesday at 8 EDT/PDT time slot that was to be the home for Season 2 of “Roseanne.”

A description of the series suggests the possibility that Barr’s character, Roseanne Conner, has passed away: “After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before,” ABC says, as  “Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. grapple with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging and in-laws in working-class America.”

The actors issued a joint statement about the spinoff: “We have received a tremendous amount of support from fans of our show, and it’s clear that these characters not only have a place in our hearts, but in the hearts and homes of our audience. We all came back last season because we wanted to tell stories about the challenges facing a working-class family today. We are so happy to have the opportunity to return with the cast and crew to continue to share those stories through love and laughter.”

John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman will all reprise their roles on the show in their attempt to catch lightning in a bottle again.

This reminds me of when they took Charlie Sheen out of two and a half Men, yep even with Ashton Kutcher it was not the same in my opinion, which I never watched but the comparisons were similar. They should create a show where you get to watch paint dry. I bet you that will rival this show in the ratings.

Listen they should have let the people choose to stop watching or keep watching! I guarantee no viewers would have been lost! It’s just not the same without Roseanne.
