Politically Ignorant Hank Aaron compares GOP to KKK

Speaking to USA Today Tuesday on the 40th anniversary of his then record-breaking 715th home run, the 80-year-old Aaron said that Republicans are hindering Obama’s job performance.

“Sure, this country has a black president, but when you look at a black president, President Obama is left with his foot stuck in the mud from all of the Republicans with the way he’s treated,” Aaron told USA Today Sports.

Aaron continued: “The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts.”

Aaron stated that there is still room for improvement for race relations in the U.S.

Maybe I shouldn’t hold it against Aaron too much. He is just politically ignorant like so many Americans. He is blinded by and lost in the idea that a mans race can for some inexplicable reason make all the difference in his job performance.

The statement is nothing more than an excuse for Obama’s poor performance and Aaron is just repeating what hes been led to believe. The truth is that if Obama was completely unrestrained (and we are not far off that) things would be much worse. Sadly Republicans have gone along with Obama on way too many issues.

It’s truly sad to watch people like Aaron blindly support Obama just because of his race. Especially because he has done more to hurt blacks than any other president in recent history. One look at black unemployment should tell the tale.

There are very many black men and women who would disagree with Obama on how to execute the duties of his office. I would point to men like Clarence Thomas and Dr. Ben Carson and women like Janice Rogers Brown. By almost any measure any of these three would be better qualified than our current president.
