As you can see, I do not word this poll like you see on CNN and MSNBC when they say the American people are responsible for poll results.
Only those polled should be noted in this article but that’s ok with me. A new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll shows a whopping 80 percent of Republicans approved of Trump’s handling of Vladimir Putin at the post-summit press conference. And 85% think the probe into Russia’s war on our elections is a distraction.
Why it matters: The media’s attempt to separate Trump away from his supporters is not working. Their 24/7 hatred and negative reporting only reach those who don’t have time to separate fantasy from reality.

The poll said 80 percent of Republicans approved of Trump’s performance, while only 8 percent of Democrats feel the same way.
The partisan split could be seen in other things the poll measured. For example, 85 percent of Republicans think the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections is “more of a distraction,” while on the other side, 85 percent of Democrats feel that the possibility of coordination between the two entities is a “serious issue.”
In the joint press conference with Putin Monday, Trump said he did not think Russia meddled in U.S. elections, but later gave a prepared statement where he said he misspoke, and meant to say that he agreed with the intelligence community that Russia did interfere.
In this Axios poll conducted July 16-17 and released Thursday, 91 percent of Republicans said they approved of Trump’s presidency so far, and 64 percent of Democrats say they disapprove of Trump.
There are reports out there have Americans not supporting the summit but that’s the opposition media once again trying to hit Trump hard and break his stride. It’s not going to work but they have to do something, right?
