417 Former Prosecutors Sign Letter Claiming If Trump Wasn’t POTUS He Would Be Charged

The question remains if those many lawyers say our President can be charged why haven’t charges been filed?

I’ve always felt that in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty not guilty until proven innocent. No matter what the Democrats and MSM state that is the law here. No charges were filed because there was not enough evidence to back up a charge. The report is in no charges filed.

Obviously, the Democrats in the House can’t think of any other way to keep from doing the jobs they were elected to do. Imagine that one of them was elected President?

If Donald Trump weren’t president of the United States, he would have been charged with obstruction of justice, over 400 former federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials said Monday in an extraordinary public letter.

The joint statement, which had 417 signers by early afternoon, rebuts Attorney General William Barr’s assertion that the evidence of potential obstruction uncovered by special counsel Robert Mueller was “not sufficient” to establish that Trump committed a crime.

“Each of us believes that the conduct of President Trump described in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report would, in the case of any other person not covered by the Office of Legal Counsel policy against indicting a sitting President, result in multiple felony charges for obstruction of justice,” the statement reads. Mueller clearly stated that his investigation could not suggest indictment of a sitting President for the reason past practices as now established, would disallow it. The investigation did not confirm that Trump did not in any way obstruct justice.

It was signed by, among others, Bill Weld, a former U.S. attorney and Massachusetts governor who is running against Trump for the 2020 Republican nomination; John Martin Sr., a former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of NY; and Paul Rosenzweig, senior counsel to independent counsel Kenneth Starr, who led the investigation that led to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton.

I didn’t realize all these federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials had access to the evidence.

What did all these people say when James Comey said “no reasonable prosecutor” would indict Hillary Clinton despite her breaking the law? It doesn’t matter how many attorneys would charge Trump, there are 55-plus Senators that respect the law and therefore would not convict.

If Mueller thought Trump was guilty of obstruction why did he not say that? Not the job of a prosecutor to find a person not guilty or exonerate. The job of a prosecutor is to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. took Mueller and 30 million dollars and he could not do that. A person wanting to do something and it actually being done is a big difference.
