I started having COVID-19 symptoms a couple of weeks ago, and I apologize that I didn’t get to let you all know. They work! I wasn’t trying to be private, I was taking care of myself, but I am here to tell you about these monoclonal antibodies.

I think I was on Day 6 when I traveled to the hospital on a Saturday afternoon, and they tested me for COVID-19, which only took about an hour, and after it came back positive, they hooked me up and gave me the monoclonal antibodies.

I think what made me go in was when I lost my smell and taste. Up to that point, the first couple of days, I had a continuous nagging cough, slight fever, slight breathing issues, and many aches in the body.

After receiving the antibodies, I rested (which I am still actually doing). I sweated for about two days after the hospital visit. My urine was dark yellow. I begin to feel better, and oh yes, I have not had the vaccine.

Just to let you know, the COVID-19 virus was brought into the house by a family member, so up until then, for the last year and a half, I had been doing everything I needed to do to stay away from the virus.

I currently have traded in all my vitamins for a gummy multivitamin that I take daily. I think the peppermint gum and nasal spray have helped out tremendously, but I still have distorted flavor here and there. My taste and smell are coming back but are not all the way back.

I had heard that many people had their taste and smell rewired for months and months. With my penchant for cooking and posting recipes, you know me, that was a no-go for me.

All in all, the antibodies have worked for me, and I am feeling my old self. I am taking it easy, however, and I am still in rest mode, but I am almost at day 14 (Monday, Oct 11), and we’ll see where things go from there.
