On the heels of two U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals rulings on the Second Amendment’s future, the President is planning yet another infringement of our gun rights.
That’s the news Americans woke up to this weekend. The end-run around the Constitution seems to have no end in sight. High-fives abound at the legacy media outlets. Elites always know best how to run your life. Just ask them.
[The Blaze] The White House confirmed on Friday that President Joe Biden will sign executive orders on gun control.
During Friday’s White House press conference, CNN Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins asked, “Should we still be expecting executive orders from the President on gun measures?” White House press secretary Jen Psaki replied, “Yes,” and said there isn’t “an exact timeframe” on the gun control actions.
“I will note that when the president was the vice-president in the Obama-Biden administration, he helped put in place 23 executive actions to combat gun violence,” Psaki added. “It’s one of the levers that we can use, that any federal government, any President can use to help address the prevalence of gun violence and address community safety around the country.”
“We have to address this epidemic, address the threat of gun violence across many avenues,” Psaki said. “And he will. He’s committed to doing that.”
During Wednesday’s White House press conference, Psaki said President Biden has been weighing using executive actions for gun control measures “for several weeks.”
Our Founding Fathers would cry in their graves if they had any tears left. But don’t worry, it’s only ghost guns and ‘scary’ assault weapons the government wants today…
President Biden makes a push for gun control legislation, including universal background checks and an assault weapons banhttps://t.co/s8wND7lNX9

Let’s be clear, a background check on a ghost gun is factually impossible. Making a firearm inside your home, by definition, means you aren’t asking for permission to exercise your rights. Of course, some states (I’m looking at you, California) ‘require’ registration of homemade guns. The obvious flaw is the state only knows a gun is homemade after the fact and would tack on a charge at that point.
Then there is the frightening ‘assault weapon.’ For the record, a semi-automatic rifle is functionally no different whether it has a magazine, tube-loader, or 100-round drum of ammunition. It’s also the same tool whether it’s wrapped in black plastic or wood furniture. Add to this the realization that our military’s best snipers use bolt-action rifles to conduct their business. You come away understanding it was never about the ‘firepower’ of the guns targeted for removal.
It’s always been—and always will be—about control. That’s your tax dollars at work. Is it any wonder we politically-homeless types don’t trust anyone in politics?
As always, this has been the World According to Chris.
