While the Democrats control all of Washington, it appears they might not have as much power as they would like. Even with their most recent attacks on Former President Donald Trump, his fanbase continues to grow. It doesn’t matter what the left throws at him, nothing is able to stop what Trump started four years ago. Now, a new poll is showing that even Republicans are willing to vacate their party if Trump was to start his own.
The poll, conducted by The Hill-HarrisX, found that a staggering 64% of Republicans said they would leave the party if Trump was to start his own. Another 32% said they were “Very Likely” to leave the party if Trump went ahead with his promise and started what some are calling the Patriot Party.
But what are the odds of an actual fourth party being introduced into the political system? If Trump has anything to say about it, very high. In one of his speeches as POTUS, Trump riled the American people up by saying, “As I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning. There’s never been anything like it. The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but instead only grow stronger by the day. As long as the American people hold in their hearts deep and devoted love of country, then there is nothing this nation cannot achieve.”
Looks like this could be why Mitch is now “bowing” to President Trump.
The GOP is literally teetering on the brink of utter collapse.
That wasn’t the only time that the President hinted at starting his own party. During his final speech at Joint Base Andrews, Trump promised to be back in some form, shape, or fashion. While it has yet to be seen what he was referring to, many believe that the former President is waiting for the right time, especially given that he could be facing another impeachment.
Speaking to the Hill, HarrisX CEO Dritan Nesho was shocked by the numbers but also had a startling revelation for the Republican party. He said, “If Trump were to split from the GOP and create his own party, polling suggests he might well create the second largest political party in the country, knocking the GOP down to third place.”
