All we hear about nowadays are the stories of hate and division. It’s so bad that you start wondering, “Is this what America has become?”

That’s what our media would like us to think. That’s what the fake news and the Democrats are pushing – a divided and pissed-off America.

But that’s not who we are.

America isn’t this horrible racist place the Dems like to say it is. Most people, like you and me, don’t live life in this “identity politics” bubble. And ironically, the liberals, who are calling the rest of us “racist” are the real bigots. Just look at Jimmy Kimmel…he’s spent the past four years calling Trump and anyone who supported him “racist” while he had made blackface videos and mocked black people for sport.

I sure as hell have never done that, but according to Kimmel, I am racist and he’s not.

And nowhere is that more apparent than with a young man by the name of Alonzo Johnson.

His story and his actions are a perfect example of everything that is right with America.

When young Alonzo was at the mall, he happened upon an 83-year-old man who was standing at the top of the escalator afraid to get on –  he was paralyzed with fear.

Alonzo couldn’t walk away and leave him there, so he gently took the elderly man and locked arms with him and the two rode down the escalator together.

Beautiful American moment.

A little kindness goes a long way.

In times like this, a story like the one between Alonzo and this elderly man serves as an example for everyone that even though a lot of us a very different, in so many ways, we’re all the same.

We all have fears, big and small, and sometimes we all need a helping hand, and those are the things that should bring us together.
