On Thursday, Pres. Trump said he had seen evidence proving that the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic spread from a Wuhan laboratory in China. Still, when asked for more specifics, he declined to detail what that evidence was.
First of all, I have no problem calling it the Wuhan Virus, just like the wildfires in CA at their place of origin. Second, if this turns out to be true, then China needs to be held accountable for this virus as being made to start in a bio lab. Let’s see as to how this all pans out and if it’s verified as accurate. One cannot trust China anymore on anything they say and do.
America would be smart to slowly distance themselves from this country in most of their products and begin making as many of those as feasibly possible here in the USA. It would take specific companies to start by getting employees as part owners of a number of these new products now made in companies here, and share in all those profits, as well as numbers of sales, made. Just my belief as a much better new way of doing more business here. This virus will change a lot of things now, just like 911, as done.

“I’m not allowed to tell you that,” he said at a White House news conference at which he repeatedly accused China’s government of being negligent in its response to the virus, while leaving open the possibility it was intentionally spread.
Speaking to reporters after an event intended to highlight the administration’s efforts to protect nursing home residents from COVID-19, Trump was asked about a statement released Thursday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that stated the U.S. believed the coronavirus was “not manmade or genetically modified.”
Trump seemed unfamiliar with the finding and pressed the reporter for the name of the official behind the statement, which was attributed only to “the Office of Director of National Intelligence.”
The reporter asked the president if he had personally seen evidence that the virus originated in a laboratory at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
“Yes, I have,” Trump said.
Regardless of whether this was natural or human-made, there needs to be a worldwide ban on “gain of function” research with viruses. Right now, there are people in many countries (including the US and China) actively trying to create deadly forms of pandemic-potential viruses, to “study them.” The risks outweigh the rewards. Stop the gain of function research.
I am not choosing a side, I blame both R and D, because politicians on both sides are guilty, and while this wasn’t a planned attack on the rights of US citizens, our two political parties are taking every advantage provided them.
Go ahead and hate Trump, or love Trump, it doesn’t matter, he is not the only elected official, and he is neither R nor D. (Trump is a businessman, and has registered as both an R and D in the past, whatever suits his business interests at the time).
I do, however, blame China, seeing as how their local officials tried to cover this up – and thus lost the opportunity to contain it possibly – and have been feeding us false numbers ever since.
But carry on everyone, focus on putting hearts on your windows and singing along with your neighbors, blind to what is happening behind the scenes.
