Former First Lady Michelle Obama has reemerged to try and use the coronavirus pandemic to push vote-by-mail options through her celebrity-backed voting rights group.

“There is nothing partisan about striving to live up to the promise of our country; making the democracy we all cherish more accessible; and protecting our neighbors, friends and loved ones as they participate in this cornerstone of American life,” Michelle said in a statement to Axios.

The website for the organization When We All Vote states, “Launched in 2018 by co-chairs Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, When We All Vote is changing the culture around voting using a data-driven and multifaceted approach to increase participation in elections.”

Axios went on to report that this “comes as Democrats await the Obamas’ return to the political stage to help Joe Biden.”

Michelle has stayed very quiet about the 2020 presidential election so far, which made it somewhat surprising last week when she took to Twitter to blast the Wisconsin Supreme Court decision preventing the state’s voting deadline from being extended.

“Today, Wisconsin voters had to choose between making their voice heard and keeping themselves and their family safe,” Michelle tweeted last week. “No American should ever have to make that choice. We must do better to ensure voting is safe for all voters. The latest Wisconsin voting information is below.”

Michelle has previously claimed that she has no interest in politics, and she resisted all calls to run for president this year despite leftists begging her to throw her hat in the race for months.

“Just between us, and the readers of this magazine — there’s zero chance,” Michelle told The National about the chances that she’d run. “There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people to helping families lead healthier lives. But sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office will never be one of them. It’s just not for me.”
