Things did not go so well for the Royals as they bid farewell to Harry and Meghan.
Meghan joined Harry in the UK to complete her final duties as Senior Royal and things got off to a bad start right out of the gate.
Meghan reportedly “infuriated” the Palace as soon as she arrived. The Palace had asked her to be “low key” to allow the other Royals who were promoting their own charities near and dear to their hearts to shine.
She vowed to fly under the radar.
But she quickly broke her promise and made a secret trip to the “National Theatre” where she had a series of promotional pictures taken. She then released the photos on her Royal Instagram and the press went wild and all focus was on her.
Next, during Harry’s final moment wearing his dress military uniform, Meghan upstaged him in a dazzling “Hollywood red carpet” look, that took all the focus off him and once again placed it on her.
But that wasn’t the worst of it.
Then, on the final day – the last appearance – Meghan and Harry caused a big “DIVA” stink behind the scenes when they found out they would not be “walking” with the VIP Royals and the queen at the Commonwealth Service on Monday. They would be relegated to the seats while the inner-core of the Royals all walked together, including, of course, William and Kate.
Well, apparently the duo through such a fit that William and Kate, fearing a PR nightmare, stepped out of the “walk” and agreed to sit in the same area as Harry and Meghan.
When William and Kate arrived at their seats they snubbed Meghan and Harry. It was caught on video:
William has never been a fan of Meghan, as a matter of fact, back in 2017 when Harry first started seeing her, William had a “heart to heart” with his brother urging him to slow things down.
Clearly, Harry did not take his elder brother’s advice.
Now, it appears that the relationship between the two brothers is very damaged. Perhaps beyond repair.
Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s final engagement at Westminster Abbey’s Commonwealth Day service proved relations would be sour. He said the royal brother’s “frosty” public reunion since Megxit were further signs Meghan, Harry, William and Kate – once dubbed the Fab Four – would have a distant relationship.
Mr Fitzwilliams said: “Relations between the Cambridges and Sussexes seemed frosty.
“William and Harry are on different paths.
“They always have had different futures but after the way the Sussexes have handled their exit relations, if yesterday is any indication, are likely to be distant.”
Harry’s relationship with his older brother and sister-in-law, with whom he was once close with, has broken down following his bombshell decision to step down as a senior royal.
But reports of a feud between both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and William and Kate have circulated since Meghan joined the Royal Family.
And Prince Harry appeared to hint of a royal feud with his brother, the future King, back in October when he told an ITV documentary the pair were on “different paths”.
While Prince Harry admitted he and elder sibling Prince William “will always be brothers”, he did little to dismiss rumours of a rift.
When asked about media reports of a rift between Harry and his older brother, William, Harry said they have “good days and bad days”.
He said “inevitably, stuff happens” as a result of “this family being under the pressure that it’s under.” [Express]
Prior to Meghan’s arrival, Harry had a wonderful relationship with his brother and his sister-in-law.
Once she arrived, all of that changed. Harry’s entire life changed, he abandoned his family and his traditions to chase after Meghan’s “Hollywood dream.”
It’s also worth noting that Meghan is estranged from her family as well.
Sadly, this woman brings the drama with her wherever she goes.
I can only imagine how sad it would make Diana to see her sons torn apart this way.
