This story is so sad and another reason why panic and hysteria is so dangerous.  Sometimes even more dangerous than the virus.

Italy has been hit very hard by the Coronavirus. They’ve lost so many citizens and medical personnel has been stressed and worked beyond belief.

With that said, we will get through this virus. We will come out of this on the other side – yes, we’ll lose people, and that is sad, but most of us will survive it and be better for it.

However, the stress, panic, death, and pain that one nurse in Italy saw and dealt with got to be too much.

When she discovered she had contracted Coronavirus, the 34-year-old woman named Daniela Trezzi committed suicide, fearing she had infected others and may infect more.

A 34-year-old Italian nurse working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic took her own life after testing positive for the illness and was terrified that she had infected others, according to a report.

Daniela Trezzi had been suffering “heavy stress” amid fears she was spreading the deadly bug while treating patients at the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza in the hard-hit region of Lombardy, the Daily Mail reported.

She was working in the intensive care unit while under quarantine after being diagnosed with COVID-19, according to the UK news site.

The National Federation of Nurses of Italy expressed its “pain and dismay” over Trezzi’s death, which came as the country’s mounting death toll surged with 743 additional fatalities Tues [New York Post]

This is such a tragedy – this woman likely helped hundreds of people and could have helped more, but now she’s gone.

It’s a reminder for all us all, to look to God in the darkest times so he can help us get through because we can’t do it on our own.

My heart is with her family and friends.

I can’t wait until we beat this damned virus.

Stay safe and wash your hands.
