Ever since last Sunday, the media has been working it’s talking points by calling Trump supporters a “cult.”
On Saturday, MSNBC host Joy Reid seemed to be angry that some Republicans participated in a poll that found the majority of those participating see President Donald Trump is a better president than Abraham Lincoln.
Now, I think that is farfetched and a crazy reach but if people want to believe that, let them. However, Reid took exception like she cared about the results and called out Trump supporters as a “racial and religious cult of personality.”
She spent the better part of her morning complaining about the association as if she had money on the poll results. Reid asked Miami Herald columnist Leonard Pitts what he made of the results.
Reid: “Is there a brick wall I can bang my head against a few times? I think it speaks further to the delusionary aspect of the Republican party right now. This is not a party, this is a cult, and it has been a call for a very long time.”
“And it wasn’t just this Abraham Lincoln quote, what was it a week or so ago, maybe not even that, that Rick Perry said the Trump was the chosen one? And he wasn’t even the first person to say that.”
