There’s no place like California.

Schools in the Golden State will no longer be able to suspend elementary and middle school students who disrupt school activities or “willfully defying” the teachers or administrator’s authority. This is a recipe for disaster.

According to a new state-wide bill, Senate Bill 419 makes it unlawful for state public schools to suspend students beginning from the fifth grade and on if they resist discipline.

Starting next school year principals and administrators may be banned from suspending students for “willful defiance” of teachers, staff, and administrators.

Senate Bill 419 bans schools from suspending students in grades 4-8 for disrupting school activities or willfully defying school authorities, including teachers and staff. The bill would also ban schools from suspending students in grades 9-12 for the same thing until January 1, 2025. The law would apply to both public and charter schools.

The full Assembly voted to pass the bill Monday by a vote of 58-17, with four Assemblymembers not voting. The vote went along party lines.

A similar bill was vetoed by Governor Jerry Brown last legislative session.

Nancy Pelosi’s nephew, Governor Newsom is a couple of sandwich short of a picnic, would you agree?

So, exactly where would you think this is heading? I smarted off to a teacher in the 6th grade; the next thing I knew, my dad was walking through the classroom door! He was very calm, walked over to me and whispered that he would like to have a little chat with me outside the classroom, Three minutes later and my cheeks wiped with tears knowing that I had to talk to him more when I got home, I walked back into the class, I very politely, asked the teacher if I could address the classroom. She said, yes I could, my dad was in the back of the room, I apologized to my teacher and the class and my dad, for having to take time off from work! The teacher accepted my apology for herself and the class, and I went to my seat!

My dad thanked her for calling him and also apologized to the class about his son, being a disruption, even saying, I am sure it will not happen again!!! When I got home, it was the worst; dad gets home at about 5 p.m.

California needs to become its state these idiots running that state needs to be arrested and lose their powers. They are turning that state into a circus; no more funds for this state cut it out from the rest of the country.

My friend’s wife taught school for a few years after they were married and before they had children. That was eight years ago. He said she would come home exhausted from dealing with insubordinate, disrespectful kids, but especially the obnoxious parents who would come in for conferences and threaten her, other students, and their parents. They took a cut in income when she quit, but here’s the kicker. He claims the financial loss was worth the peace of mind they now have, and they have recovered their losses to their advantage.

The new California law is supposed to be phased in over the next three years. This is so ridiculous! Why would anyone want to teach in a school like this?
