Speaker Pelosi is in a pickle. She’s painted herself into a very dark political corner when she decided to appease her foam-at-the-mouth kook base and begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

This entire impeachment plan has backfired spectacularly in Pelosi’s leathery face.

So, now what does she do? The polling has turned ugly for Dems after the 2-week impeachment circus. Most Americans tuned it out but those who did watch were clearly not impressed. Now, moderate Dems are pumping the breaks on impeachment as they begin to fear for their political lives.

So, what’s her next move? Some insiders are now saying that she will abandon the impeachment charade.

But how does she do that after her crazy, clueless and low-info base has been celebrating the failed impeachment hearings as if they were a “slam dunk?”

Not to mention, Trump is vowing to call Biden and his son to testify, along with a whole host of other Dems – this could be an epic disaster for Dems, especially since the IG report is due out soon.

In addition, Pelosi could find herself in an even deeper mess when it comes to the SCOTUS.

When Schiff called Fiona Hill to testify, he opened a can of worms. Hill testified about her connection to Glenn Simpson which brought the Russia dossier and FISA court into play – and who oversees the FISC court? Chief Justice Jon Roberts. Who oversees the Senate impeachment trial? Chief Justice John Roberts. Who would now be a material witness thanks to Fiona Hill? Chief Justice John Roberts. Who can’t be a material witness and oversee the Senate trial? Chief Justice John Roberts.

He would have to step down and would likely clear the way for the much, much more conservative Clarence Thomas to assume that role. Pelosi can’t want that to happen.

The whole thing is a total and complete mess.

So, what does an old battle-ax like Pelosi do?

Well,  if she’s looking for help, she can find it from an unlikely source.

Rush Limbaugh has figured out a way that Pelosi can end this disaster and possibly still appease her kook base. Now, for me, I’d rather see it go to the Senate where Tump could shred these people but Rush’s advice is good. Wonder if she’ll take it?

“She could go on TV, call a press conference and tell a bunch of lies about how successful the hearings were,” Limbaugh explained Monday on his national broadcast. “That we’ve got all of this evidence of bribery and extortion and praise to the hilt all of the civil servant left-wing liberal Democrat witnesses, extol their virtues to no end, praise them to the hilt, praise them by name.”

“And then say that even if she were to get every Democrat in the House voting, the problem is that the process then goes to the Senate where the corrupt Republicans are in charge, where the Republican Party is going to not listen. This is Pelosi speaking, I’m making up the words, but this would be her message. The Republican Party will openly defy the wishes and will of the American people as represented in the vote to impeach in the House of Representatives.”

And then she says, ladies and gentlemen, the last thing we want, the last thing this country needs, the last thing this country can put up with and tolerate is this president being acquitted. That would be an outrage to the Constitution. That would be an outrage to the American people. I simply will not participate in a process that ends with this president, who is as guilty as any president has ever been, I will not be part of a process that finds him not guilty. I simply cannot do that to America.

And because of the partisan Republicans, because of the mean-spirited Republicans, because of racist, bigoted, sexist homophobic Republicans — just really ladle it on — this president will be found not guilty, and that is something our country cannot withstand. And I, your speaker, will not put this country through that. Even on the day, she could say, even on those days where we care about God, God knows the president is guilty. But the Republicans who also know he’s guilty will do everything they can to shield and protect him because he has corrupted them like he has our great country. [WND]
