Earlier in the week, we reported that the NFL had set up a football workout session for former quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Many across the spectrum thought it was a joke or a stunt, while others thought it was a good idea. I guess the idea was to give the out of work athlete a chance to show what he could do after being out of the sport for the last three years.

As of Friday, 24 teams have committed to sending someone to the workout to review and interview Kaepernick, including my team, the Dallas Cowboys. However, fans of the Texas team are threatening to boycott if Kaepernick is signed.

Cowboys Nation is speaking out against the signing of Kaepernick if the team decides to pick him up as a backup QB to Dak Prescott.

After word of Colin Kaepernick’s workout in Atlanta on Saturday first surfaced earlier this week, there was word that the Cowboys were going to be one of the teams planning to send a representative to watch the proceedings.

They weren’t among the 11 teams that the NFL announced on Thursday as committed to attend, however, and there’s good reason for that. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said during a Friday appearance on 105.3 The Fan that the team won’t be sending anyone for a first-hand look.

“We’re not gonna have anybody there. We’ll look at the tape if we need any information there. We really like our quarterbacks,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com.

The Panthers and Saints have also indicated that they won’t be represented at the workout. [ProFootball Talk]

You’d think Kaepernick would have been super busy protesting during the last three years since he’s worked, but I guess he didn’t have an audience to protest in front of. Here are some numbers for you. Kaepernick is 28-30 career and 3-16 in his last two seasons. Tim Tebow at least has a winning record (8-6), so when is his NFL sponsored workout?

Why would any organization endorse anti-American activities when there would be no harm to America or American Citizens by being patriotic. I think a majority of Americans love patriots, Americans who work to defend America, and protect us. I think people should speak up (free speech) on the subject and explain why.

This workout is just a sideshow. Rumors are that Jay Z helped set this up. Kaepernick will never join a team because he wants a starting position handed to him, and that’s never going to happen. He would rather sit at home then work his way back.

Can we be done with this guy, please?
