LeBron James is the new face of communism.
After spending a week defending the tyrannical and evil dictatorship of China and criticizing his fellow-American and Huston Rockets GM for supporting freedom fighters in Hong Kong, it’s almost as if LeBron is an honorary communist.
So much so, that the Communist Party in China released an official statement claiming anyone who attacks LeBron for defending China is “racist.”
Yes, this coming from the people who operate “Muslim concentration camps.”
Following Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey tweeting his support for the Hong Kong protesters, James said that Morey “wasn’t educated on the situation at hand and he spoke.”
Siding with his Communist paymasters, who forced the NBA into a groveling apology after Morey’s tweet, the basketball star added that free speech had negative “ramifications.”
Now the government-run China Daily, a mouthpiece for the Communist Party, has backed LeBron, asserting that criticism of him is a racist dogwhistle.
An editorial published by the newspaper claimed James’ detractors were using “nasty racial connotations” to attack him.
The irony of course is delectable; Here you have one of the biggest human rights abusers on the planet, a regime that literally puts Muslims in concentration camps, pandering to ‘woke’ progressive identity race politics in order to trash free speech.
The fact that much of corporate America has aligned itself with this regime only underscores how fundamentally disingenuous and vacuous ‘wokeness’ really is. [Sumit News]
However, we may now have more insight into why LeBron is such a hardcore defender of communism.
It’s not just his NBA deal that’s making him rich. According to Fox Business, LeBron has a massive business interest in China…to the tune of $1 billion dollars.
[LeBron] holds a lifetime deal valued at $1 billion with sports retail giant Nike, which saw its sales in China surge 27 percent to nearly $1.7 billion in its most recent fiscal quarter alone. James’ signature sneaker line is one of Nike’s most prominent offerings.
James’ standing in China could also impact the future efforts of his media production company, SpringHill Entertainment. The firm is producing “Space Jam 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to NBA legend Michael Jordan’s original film, which will seek a massive return from Chinese audiences. [Fox Business]
So, in short, LeBron makes millions (billions?) off of Nike slave labor in China.
What a great “leader” and “role model” LeBron is, right? So “selfless.” ?
