Former Fox News host and well-respected journalist Greta Van Susteren called out her former colleague Chris Wallace on Sunday.
Susteren took to Twitter where she scolded the notorious Trump-hater for smearing Trump and causing trouble.
As you know, Wallace is keeping the hateful spirit of Shep Smith alive by bashing the president and feeding the “impeachment hoax” frenzy.
On Sunday, Wallace turned his so-called “serious” political talk show into an immature, unprofessional gossip fest, by claiming a “well-connected” Republican senator told him that there’s a “20 percent chance the GOP will vote to impeach Trump.”
Wallace cited an overwhelming House vote criticizing the president’s policies in Syria and an op-ed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) slamming Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from that country.
He then said he had “talked to a very well-connected Republican in Washington, someone whose name you would know well, who says that if the House votes to impeach and it gets to a trial in the Senate, there’s now a 20 percent chance enough Republicans would vote with Democrats to impeach the president.” [The Hill]
Greta, a truly professional journalist, blasted Wallace for using these types of cheap, “fake news” tactics, and said the longstanding anchorman should “know better.” She questioned what “well connected” even means, and went on to tell Wallace, “name names or don’t say this at all” and posted a screen-shot of Wallace’s words.
It’s great to see Greta call out Wallace for this pathetic #NeverTrump, CNN-esque stunt.
Chris Wallace should know better than to use anonymous“well connected Republican” – he should name names or not say this at all as without the identity (what is a ‘welll connected??’) its purpose is merely to smear and cause trouble – name names or don’t say this at all; pic.twitter.com/owHBsm8xsQ

Did this so-called “well-connected” senator take an official poll? How did he get to that magic “20 percent” number? Is he literally asking each and every senator how they will vote on impeachment when there’s no evidence and no official inquiry?
Is a “well-connected” senator admitting to that level of stupidity?
He should be fired. What’s his name, Chris?
And then Chris Wallace, like a good like Trump-hating stooge, repeats this nonsense in order to fuel the impeachment fire.
All for ratings and political agenda.
It’s sick. Our media is a disease.
But this is what our lying fake news does – They try and make a story out of nothing. The Senate will never vote to impeach Trump because if they did, every single GOP senator who voted to impeach would lose their job and bonus, they’d be responsible for starting the next great United States civil war.
In truth, there is unease among many Republicans about the Syrian retreat and Ukraine fiasco. But there is no indication that any Republican Senators — including Trump foe Mitt Romney — are willing to commit political suicide and vote for impeachment. If it comes out that Trump held a gun to the head of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on a document ordering an investigation of Biden, there’s a small chance Trump would lose his job.
