In what can only be called the most horrific blunder ever, the University of Wisconsin “honored” the 9-11 hijackers in their American Flag Memorial on Wednesday.

At least we assume it’s was a “blunder.” Hard to tell nowadays with liberals.

After all, today the New York Times had to delete an offensive tweet that downplayed the attacks, saying “airplanes took aim” at the Twin Towers.

The AIRPLANES took aim? Good grief.

The paper deleted the tweet.

Also, we haven’t forgotten that Ilhan Omar callously brushed off the 9-11 attacks as, “some people did something.”

In today’s incident, the university planted a flag in the ground to represent each person killed in the 9-11 attacks. However, they counted the 19 hijackers among the victims, so they got an American flag as well.

Careless and offensive at best, vile and anti-American at worst.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison placed small American flags on campus to commemorate the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the hijackers were included in the number of those killed.

Wisconsin radio host Vicki McKenna notes 2,996 flags were stuck in the ground at Bascom Hill.

“They included the HIJACKERS, apparently,” McKenna wrote on Facebook of the remembrance.

“The number of people killed by the 9/11 terrorists was 2,977. There were 19 hijackers. 2,977+19=2,996. Wow,” she said.

The University credited “the students of V.E.T.S., College Republicans of UW-Madison and College Democrats of UW-Madison” with the display. [American Mirror]

This is the Facebook post that the University of Wisconsin posted of their botched memorial.

Once they’ve identified the person who did this is, and their motives have been determined, appropriate education and training, or punishment should ensue.

This is also a reminder to us all that #NeverForget doesn’t just mean remembering the date – it also means remembering and knowing the facts.
