Fox News’ Shep Smith is one of the worst so-called news people on television. I don’t know why the network extended his contract last year, but then again, they are #1 in viewership, so they don’t care.

Being emotional while “reporting” is very unprofessional, and as you will see in the video below, this is just wrong.

Even Pres. Trump responded to Shep’s coverage of a chicken plant that produced over 600 illegal alien arrests on Wednesday.

The people who were round up weren’t supposed to be there, why is that so hard to understand. These arrests will no doubt give legal immigrants or, heaven forbid, American citizens, a chance to obtain a good-paying job. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement are doing the job we are paying them to do, that they took an oath to perform.

U.S. immigration officials raided seven Mississippi chicken processing plants Wednesday, arresting 680 mostly Latino workers in the largest workplace sting in at least a decade.

The raids, planned months ago, happened just hours before President Donald Trump visited El Paso, Texas, the majority-Latino border city where a man linked to an online screed about a “Hispanic invasion” was charged in a shooting that left 22 people dead.

“On a day when we seek unifying words and acts to heal the nation’s broken heart, President Trump allows so many families and communities to be torn apart,” said Angelica Salas, executive director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.

It’s not just one or two people sneaking into this country at a time with a backpack and a dream. There are human trafficking rings that are smuggling 1,000’s of people into this country each year, and employers are paying bounties to smugglers to bring people here illegally.

The smugglers and their employers are providing them with food, shelter, transportation, jobs, and false papers. While politicians talk big, the industries that rely on this labor source are huge campaign donors, and the message from them is that you don’t do anything to reduce their access to cheap labor, increase accountability, increase enforcement or endanger their profit margins by putting meaningful penalties in place.

What A LOT of people miss entirely about the migrant debate is there are 1,000’s of de facto not official sanctuary cities across the USA, and the reason isn’t that they love migrants or that they are liberal. It boils down to dollars and cents.

Among those arrested, did they arrest the owner of the plant? It is illegal to hire anyone that is not legally eligible to work in the US. And verification of such legal for employment is the responsibility of the employer.

Employers also need to be arrested; they create the demand for undocumented to find jobs. Granted they may have fake papers, but those are easy to verify via e-verify. The blame can’t be solely on the workers.
