Rep. Rashida Tlaib was angry that HBO’s Bill Maher called out the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement that she and her cohorts support.
Tlaib suggested that viewers should boycott Maher’s show over the weekend after he called the movement a “bulls*** purity test” for the Democrat party, “by people who want to appear woke but slept through history class.”
On Wednesday morning, Maher responded to Tlaib on his Twitter feed with this: Some people have one move only: boycott. Cancel. Make-go-away. But here’s the thing, the house voted 318 to 17 to condemn the #BDS movement, including 93% of Dems. Does Tlaib want to boycott 93% of her party?

When Tlaib and her crew bring up the BDS movement, they can’t be speaking to Americans because House overwhelmingly rejected a resolution supporting BDS, opposing it by a vote of 398-17. You have to wonder if she is using the media platform to speak to those overseas, as a way to perpetuate how much power she thinks she has.
Think about it, if House Democrats are against the BDS movement, where is the base of support for this movement?
Over the past weekend, The World Jewish Congress (WJC) condemned Tlaib’s call to boycott of Maher’s HBO show:
In a press release, WJC’s president Ronald Lauder criticized Tlaib’s support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement and called her recent suggestion to boycott Maher “deeply disturbing.”
“It is outrageous that Tlaib, who has repeatedly deployed anti-Semitic tropes, would promote the boycott of the only democracy in the Middle East and the one nation that fully respects human rights and guarantees freedom for Muslims, Christian and Jews,” Lauder said. “Serious questions need to be asked about Tlaib’s motivation in supporting the extremist BDS Movement, which is allied with terrorists and is not shy about its ultimate aim of destroying Israel.” [Newsweek]
It seems the boycott rings hollow and this radical four assembly isn’t as strong as what they think.
You know our Congress has a massive problem with one of its members openly supports terrorist organizations and the destruction of one of our biggest allies and is allowed to remain in Congress while her party defends her because of her skin color and gender.
Every time I read something about this congresswoman, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Her actions are incredibly junior league, and I’m embarrassed for her. She shows he disdain for this country each time. Perhaps she should focus on her constituents and not try to take on the world. She is out of her league and nothing more than part of the problem rather than the solution in this country.
