From an Uber driver to a naval officer, a salesman to a handyman, their jobs run the gamut and what they all have in common?

They all got stung by the Sarasota Police Department when they tried to pick up minors. Detectives participating in #OperationInterceptVI, which is a four-day initiative focused on arresting and charging online predators and human traffickers.

In the video below, these predators thought they were going inside a home where children would be without guardians. All in all, the police arrested 25 men.


They were as old as 65. Some brought condoms with them. Others brought drugs and guns. But what all of them wanted, police said, was to have sex with a minor. Those 25 men are now in jail after Florida detectives set up their own version of the TV series “To Catch a Predator” in Sarasota County, using undercover agents who pretended to be boys and girls on the internet and arranged meetings with potential pedophiles, authorities announced Friday. Detectives lured the suspects, whose ages range from 19 to 65, through social media, online dating apps and internet ads.
