Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed the “chemical castration treatment” requiring sex offenders whose victims are age 13 and younger as a condition of their parole.

Rep. Steve Hurst, a Republican, sponsored this bill whose treatment consists of taking a medication to block testosterone in the male body.

Hurst had sponsored similar bills for more than a decade and said his intention has always been to stop sexual abuse of children.

“I’m very serious,” Hurst said. “Not only did I want it to pass, I want to follow it on through to the future where we can try to improve it. One of the ultimate goals that I want to do is for us to track it and to make sure what medication works for what individuals.”

Hurst said he’s heard from many victims of sexual abuse supporting the effort.

“It’s amazing how many phone calls and how many emails I’ve gotten,” Hurst said. “People not just in the state of Alabama but all over the world, things they went through.” []

State Sen. Cam Ward, said this law will only apply to a small number of offenders because those considered for parole will be minimum at best. He also said he believes it is a “good law.”

Alabama is looking better and better as a retirement spot every day. I like the way those people think.

Alabama Governor Signs Human Life Protection Act Legislation — Democrats

one thing for sure about Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, and Ohio state legislators — they aren’t playing. Life without the possibility of parole unless they agree to castration, the old fashioned kind and has to be done by the pedophile himself? That’ll learn em.

Any child molested by these animals will now think twice about what will happen to them. However, I believe it should be 14 and under. Too many of our innocent children are being sexually abused, molested, and are damaged as a result.

This legislation shouldn’t even be controversial at all but with that said, Dems will line up to fight it. Those protecting pedophiles are the same people hoping to legalize it some day. God bless the state of Alabama.

Alabama is leading the way on the road to morality by treating abortionists and pedophiles, just like they should be addressed. GOOD for them.
