Brit Hume, Fox News senior analyst, seemingly took up for co-worker Chris Wallace, who was called out by President Trump on Sunday night during a Town Hall with 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg.

President Trump tweeted that he couldn’t believe Fox News would waste their time giving Buttigieg a Town Hall.

“Hard to believe that @FoxNews is wasting airtime on Mayor Pete, as Chris Wallace likes to call him. Fox is moving more and more to the losing (wrong) side in covering the Dems. They got dumped from the Democrats boring debates, and they just want in,” Trump wrote.

Trump also added that Wallace “never speaks well of me.”

Hume thought it was his responsibility to defend and take up Wallace after the Town Hall was over and Buttigieg received a standing ovation.

“Say this for Buttigieg. He’s willing to be questioned by Chris Wallace, something you’ve barely done since you’ve been president. Oh, and covering candidates of both parties is part of the job of a news channel,” said Hume.

So Wallace the standard bearer for real journalism? Hume said Trump was not going to win the Republican nomination! How wrong was he?

Wallace is a political hack, and even though many claims he’s a Democrat, he’s not a top interviewer that the American people trust, and that’s where the lesson begins. Hume quickly pounced on Trump as if he and Wallace were lovers.

Trump told the media all they had to do was treat him fairly, and things would be a lot better, but they refuse to. Watching this happen regularly is nothing short of frustrating and pathetic. Fox News should know better but of course, they are #1, so they don’t have to change who they are.

However, going after Trump isn’t going to win any pageants anytime soon.
